Amit Sanghvi, MD
Amit Sanghvi, MD, is a neurointerventional surgeon who uses minimally-invasive procedures to diagnose and treat a wide range of cerebrovascular disorders in the brain, neck and spine. Board certified by the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Sanghvi brings over a decade of clinical experience and training to Lutheran Health Physicians, including previous service as an independent staff member at several Lutheran Health Network hospitals.
Dr. Sanghvi earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Purdue University in West Lafayette before completing his doctor of medicine degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He completed an internship and a diagnostic radiology residency at Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh before completing a pair of fellowships - diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology at Wake Forrest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and neurointerventional radiology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Sanghvi is a senior member of the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgeons and the American Society of NeuroRadiology and a member of the American College of Radiology. He has taken part in a number of publications and presentations, covering topics such as ruptured anterior spinal artery aneurysm and neuroimaging of delayed eclampsia. Dr. Sanghvi also serves as the co-director of Lutheran Hospital's Comprehensive Stroke Center.
