About
As a member of the Lutheran Health Physicians infectious disease team, nurse practitioner Melissa Gephart serves patients who have contracted illnesses, including those caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites. Infectious disease specialists are also trained in immunology, epidemiology and infection control.
Gephart is a graduate of the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, where she obtained an associate degree in nursing in 2007 and a master's degree in nursing in 2011. Prior to joining LHP in 2019, she served Lutheran Hospital as an N.P. in various areas including the emergency department and hospital medicine, which focused on primary, consultive and collaborative clinical management to hospitalized patients.
