About
Keith Clancy, M.D., is a trauma surgeon who treats patients who have severe, life-threatening blunt force and penetrating injuries usually involving the colon, pancreas, spleen and/or stomach.
Dr. Clancy obtained a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Wheaton College in Illinois in 1985. Dr. Clancy later received a master of business administration degree in healthcare management from the University of Texas at Dallas School of Management in 2011.
Prior to joining Lutheran Health Physicians, Dr. Clancy served as the trauma program medical director at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. During his more than 30 years in healthcare, he has also served as the medical director for trauma and surgical critical care at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania, Creighton University Medical Center, and University Hospital Cleveland Medical Center.
Since 1999, he has held numerous academic appointments, most recently as an associate professor of surgery at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland.
Dr. Clancy has contributed to a variety of publications covering topics including red blood cell transfusion in adult trauma, blunt splenic injury in adults, and chest trauma.
