Brett J. Guinn, M.D., FACS, joined Lutheran Health Physicians surgery team in February 2016. Prior to joining LHP, he was a partner in Lynch, Puccia, Leuking and Guinn General Surgeons, in Terre Haute, IN, a private practice serving six Wabash Valley hospitals. During his time in Terre Haute, he also served as staff surgeon at the U.S. Federal Penitentiary and as staff physician at Union Hospital Wound Healing Center. Dr. Guinn has also practiced general surgery in Evansville and Connersville, IN.
Dr. Guinn graduated summa cum laude from DePauw University in Greencastle, IN, in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in biological sciences.
Dr. Guinn, who is trained to use the robotic surgical platform, was a proctor in the physician assistant program at Indiana State University and was a clinical assistant professor of surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
Dr. Guinn served as a surgical missionary in Malindi, Kenya, through the Caris Foundation and Body and Soul Ministries in 2012 and 2013.
